KINGSWOOD GOLF ESTATE GOLF RULES AND REGULATIONS
GENERAL CLUB RULES
1. Members and guests shall abide by all rules and regulations as they may be amended from time to time.
2. The facilities shall be open on the days and during the hours as may be established by Golf Ops.
3. Members and guests are not allowed to bring their own alcoholic beverages onto the premises.
4. All complaints or suggestions of any kind must be in writing, signed and addressed to The Director of Golf.
MEMBERSHIPS CARDS
1. A Membership Card shall be issued to the member upon payment of subscriptions by the member. Membership cards must be presented upon request when signing in for the use of the facilities.
2. A Membership Card may not be used by any person other than the person to whom it is issued. Failure to comply with this rule may result in suspension or termination of membership privileges.
3. In the event if a lost membership card, Golf Ops must be notified immediately. Golf Ops will issue a new membership card to the member for the appropriate card fee.
LOSS OR DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY OR INSTANCES OF PERSONAL INJURY
1. Each member as a condition of membership and each guest as a condition of invitation assume sole responsibility for his or her property. Golf Ops shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any personal property used or stored on the property. Any such personal property which may have been left in or on the facilities for three (3) months or more without payment of storage thereon may be sold, with or without notice, or may be otherwise disposed of, and the proceeds, if any, may be retained.
2. Any member, family member, guest or other person, in any manner, makes use of or accepts the use of any apparatus, appliance, facility, privilege or service whatsoever owned, leased or operated by Golf Ops, or who engages in any contest game, function, exercise, competition or other activity operated, organized, arranged or sponsored by Golf Ops, either on or off the premises, shall do so at his or her sole risk. The member and his or her family members and guests shall hold Golf Ops, employees and affiliates (harmless from any and all loss, cost claim, injury damage or liability sustained or incurred by him or her, resulting there from and/or from any acts of omission, whether due to negligence or otherwise of any of the Indemnified parties. Any member shall have, owe and perform the same obligation to the Indemnified Parties hereunder in respect to such loss, cost, claim, injury, damage or liability sustained or incurred by any guest or family member.
3. Should any party bound by these Rules and Regulations bring suit against any of the Indemnified Parties in connection with any event operated, organised, arranged or sponsored by the Golf Operator or any claim or matter in connection with membership, and fail to obtain judgement against the same, the said party shall be liable to the Indemnified Parties for all costs and expenses incurred by it in the defence of such suit, including court costs.
GENERAL GOLF RULES
1. All players must register at the Pro Shop. Under no circumstances are members, including members who are residents in Kingswood, permitted to start play from anywhere on the course other than as indicated by the Pro Shop, on behalf of Golf Ops , as the starting point of play for the day.
2. Practice is not allowed on the golf course.
3. Speed of play will be strictly controlled. If a four-ball or other group of player fails to keep their place on the golf course and falls behind the preceding group by more than one hole, the group must allow the following group to play through. The same applies when searching for a lost ball.
4. Enter and leave bunkers at the nearest level point and smooth sand over with a rake upon leaving.
5. Repair all pitch marks on the green.
6. Fill all divots with sand mix provided.
7. If a player is repeatedly warned for slow play, the Golf Ops may take such action as it deems appropriate.
8. Improperly dressed golfers shall be asked to change before playing. If you are in doubt concerning your attire, please check with the Pro Shop before starting play.
9. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult member when playing golf, unless approved by the Director of Golf.
HOURS OF PLAY
The hours of play and Pro Shop hours shall be as determined by Golf Ops. The Director of Golf or his/her appointed assistant shall determine when the golf course is fit to play.
GOLF STARTING TIME
1. Players who fail to cancel their golf booking on a timely basis may be charged the applicable rates for the unused rounds as determined by the Director of Golf from time to time.
REGISTRATION
1. All members and guests must register at the pro shop before beginning play and all members shall present their membership cards at registration upon request.
2. Failure to check in and register fifteen minutes prior to a reserved starting time may result in assignment of another starting time or cancellation, at the discretion of the Director of Golf.
PRACTICE FACILITIES
1. The practice facilities will be available to members and guests at the appropriate fee.
2. The practice facilities will be open as determined by the Director of Golf.
3. Range balls are for use on the driving range only and may not be used on the golf course. Members, visitors and homeowners will be disciplined if range balls are taken from the driving range and environs.
4. Range balls may only be drivent from designated areas.
5. Coaching by unauthorized professionals are prohibited.
GENERAL GOLF CART RULES
1. Golf carts may, at the discretion of the Director of Golf., be restricted to cart pathways only
2. Golf carts may only be used on Kingswood Golf Estate when the course is open for play and only by persons playing the course; golf cart restriction signs must be adhered to at all times without exception.
3. Each operator of a golf cart must be eighteen years of age and have a valid certificate of competency issued by Golf Ops in its sole discretion.
4. Only two persons and two sets of golf clubs are permitted per golf cart.
5. Pull carts are permitted.
6. Obey all golf cart traffic signs.
7. Always use cart paths where provided.
8. Avoid soft areas of the fairways, especially after rain. Use the rough areas whenever possible.
9. Never drive a golf cart through a hazard.
10. The use of a golf cart is at the sole risk of the operator. Cost of repair to a golf cart which is damaged by the operator shall be charged to the operator. Each operator shall be held fully liable for any and all damages, including damages to the golf cart, that are caused by the use of the golf cart or accident by the operator and, who shall reimburse Golf Ops for any and all damages that Golf Ops may sustain by reason of use or accident.
11. Each operator accepts and assumes liability in respect of all damages, whether in respect of personal injury or otherwise resulting from his operation of the golf cart. The operator also expressly indemnifies and agrees to hold harmless the Indemnified Parties from any and all damages, whether direct or consequential, arising from or related to the operator and operation of the golf cart.
12. All golf cart rules imposed by the HOA in respect of the Estate from time to time shall be adhered to.
13. Violation of golf cart rules may result in the loss of golf cart use and/or playing privileges.
PRIVATE GOLF CART RULES
1. Private golf carts are permitted for members who own property on Kingswood Golf Estate subject to the rules and regulations established from time to time.
2. The advertising on or personalization of carts, such as adding names, logos, radios or telephones, shall not be permitted. All golf carts shall be four wheeled, electrically powered only.
3. All golf cart owners agree to comply with the rules and regulations established, as they may be amended from time to time.
4. All golf cart owners shall be required to sign a release of liability agreeing to hold the Golf Ops harmless as a result of any injury, death, loss or damage relating to the operation of the golf cart.
5. Members using a private golf cart will be held fully liable for any and all damages caused by the use of the golf cart by the member, his or her family or guests, and the member shall reimburse Golf Ops for any and all damages sustained by reason of use, including without limitation, damage to other golf carts and any property of Golf Ops.
6. All golf cart rules as issued by the HOA from time to time must be adhered to.
7. All general Golf Cart rules will also apply for Private Golf Carts where applicable.
